Team works and Workshop Construction

Beijing Zoo Enrichment workshop built in 2003 we believe was the first to be built in China. It was built and equipped with power tools and materials needed for creating houses and species specific enrichment devices

The Beijing Zoo gave us the old Panda house which was really beautiful. We were so honoured to be visited in that year by Dr Jane Goodall who supported our efforts in enrichment and endorsed the workshop.

Goldman Sachs along with other donors gave tools materials and equipment to the workshop. We had a small library area and were sent books from many global experts including Hannah Buchannan Smith, Helena Fitch Snyder and Dr. Shapeiro.

We designed a workshop for Nanjing Zoo and hope it can be used to showcase enrichment techniques and practical solutions to zoos locally in the province.
